Hunza Tour Overview

Hunza Valley Cherry Blossom Tour to explore the mountains valley of Hunza during cherry blossom season. The beginning of the cherry blossom indicates the end of cold winters in Hunza Valley and other different valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan. It means the arrival of the spring season in Hunza Valley, which starts from mid-March to the last week of April. So, it is the perfect time for travellers to grab the beauty of cherry blossom Hunza. Cherry blossom season in Hunza attracts visitors through the scenic views of the blooming of cherry blossom petals and the blossom of Apricots, apples, pears, and various fruits.

In the spring season, Hunza presents an aesthetic panorama to the sightseers. Hunza Valley lies on the old Silk Road the modern Karakoram Highway to China. This valley with sleepy villages, colourful cherry blossoms, whispering creeks, and vast massive glaciers is surrounded by the highest ridges all around the northern side of Pakistan, which genuinely offers a beautiful landscape and a peaceful environment to travellers. Hunza Valley cherry spring tour will be all around 10 days. So, let us take a quick start to our bonny destination.

Islamabad International Airport is the nearest International airport to start the Hunza Blossom tour so our Hunza Valley cherry blossom tour starts from Islamabad. Our representative will meet and greet you at the Islamabad International Airport and transfer you to the group hotel. The rest of the day in Islamabad is for sightseeing, visiting historical sites like the Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, and Daman-e-Koh. The next day, we will travel towards the Hunza Blossom Valley, by enjoying the panoramic vistas through the Karakoram Highway to reach the Naran/Chilas. Chilas is the gateway to the glorious views of Nanga Parbat and the world’s highest mountain ranges, including the Himalayas in the east, Karakoram in the North, and Hindukush in the west.

We continue our Hunza Valley cherry blossom tour towards Karimabad, the capital of Hunza Valley. We will stop briefly at the Rkaposhi viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular view of this majestic mountain. Continue our tour to Karimabad for a night stay.

Check into the hotel, have a brief rest and head out to explore the Karimabad bazaar and experience the authentic ethnic culture of Hunza’s various communities, such as in Aliabad village. We will have a chance to go through the breathtaking views of the Ultar Mountains and the nearby gardens of Aliabad village. Trekking from Aliabad to Karimabad back would be an adventure while witnessing the blunt beauty of Rakaposhi Peak. Tonight, we will spend in Karimabad under the sky of cherry blossom spring.

Next day, after a luxury breakfast, we will visit the Unesco-listed Altit and Baltit forts to capture colourful pictures with the shower of white and pink cherry blossoms in Hunza, alongside experiencing the rich culture and traditions of the old Hunza, explained by the tour guide. The hotspots in Karimabad are the essence of the Hunza Valley cherry blossom tour, which makes our trip more enchanting. We travel to another surprising sight, Eagle Nest, famous for its glorious sunrise and sunset views. So, we will take advantage of the majestic sunset views of Eagle Nest. We will spend one of the evenings of our Hunza’s cherry blossom tour at the height of Eagle Nest.

The following day, we wake up with scenic vistas plus fragrances of multiple blossoms in Hunza that are so refreshing for the soul. We make our way toward the dazzling Attabad Lake. Attabad Lake is a must-go spot in Hunza’s cherry blossom season. The beauty and colour of Attabad Lake in the shadow of Karakoram peaks are a wonder in itself. A quick boat ride in Attabad Lake would be a fantastic adventure. Stopping into the Apricot orchids is another site to see the blossoms in their full swing.

Hunza Valley cherry blossom tour allows us to visit the iconic Passu Cones and Hussaini Bridge, the most dramatic hanging bridge in the Northern areas of Pakistan. From Passu cones, we will walk to the Passu glacier and the mesmerizing Borith Lake. We will drive further to explore the beauty of our Hunza Valley in the spring season by visiting the Khunjerab Pass (the trade border between China and Pakistan). Khunjerab National Park sightseeing is subject to weather conditions.

After visiting the Khunjeab Pass, we will travel back towards Islamabad. On the way back from Khunjerab Pass, we will stay at Gulmit village, witnessing the twinkling starry night view of Rakaposhi Peak. Travel on the Karakoram Highway to Naran by exploring the small towns and villages along the Hunza and Indus Rivers on the Karakoram Highway. Night stay in Naran, then travel back to Islamabad. After a full day’s rest at the Islamabad Hotel, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.

The cherry blossom season in the Hunza Valley, the cuisine, and the hospitality of the Hunza people make our trip more memorable. Mesmerizing views of the number of cliffs around the Batura and Hispar glaciers make our Hunza cherry blossom tour remarkable. This breathtaking “Hunza Valley cherry blossom tour” is inspiring and enchanting for everyone.

You should contact your doctor or travel clinic to check whether you specifically require any vaccinations or other preventive measures. You should be up to date with routine courses and boosters as recommended in the UK e.g. diphtheria-tetanus-polio and measles-mumps-rubella), along with hepatitis A and typhoid. Malarial prophylaxis is discretionary for this trip. Malaria exists in the area around Islamabad. However, incidences of urban transmission of malaria are extremely low. On holidays to more remote areas, you should also have a dentist check-up. A good online resource is Travel Health Pro. Dengue fever is a known risk in places visited. It is a tropical viral disease spread by daytime-biting mosquitoes. There is currently no vaccine or prophylaxis available and therefore the best form of prevention is to avoid being bitten. We recommend you take precautions to avoid mosquito bites
