Tour Overview

Hunza Valley looks beautiful in all seasons but shows different aspects of its beauty with a wide range of panoramic vistas every season. Similarly, Autumn in Hunza is notable for its vibrant Autumn colours. It is the primary reason for the popularity of the Hunza Valley Autumn tour among domestic and foreign tourists around the globe. The Autumn season usually starts in the second week of October. It remains until mid-November every year in Hunza and the surrounding valleys of the Northern areas of Pakistan. Hunza Valley is also known as Shangri La, which means the Lost Horizon.

As Autumn reaches Hunza, its temperature drops to 15 degrees Celsius and the grounds of the Hunza Valley with orange and gold hues leaves. The noise of the crisp fallen leaves in Autumn under the feet gives a pleasant experience. Some people even go to Hunza Valley in Autumn for rehabilitation. Hunza Valley Autumn tour is the most demanding and glamorous tour among sightseers because Autumn in Hunza displays a spectrum of vibrant tones of orange, red, and soothing shades of yellow. At the start of October, the orchards of the Hunza Valley start changing like the colour of a bridegroom dress, which gives a wave of happiness and pleasure in the human souls.

Trango Adventure is a licensed company, and for many years, we have been offering Hunza Valley autumn tours with great success. We have thoughtfully created a 10 days-long Hunza autumn tour to explore the magnificent Hunza in the autumn season. We can also customise this tour to suit your tastes and interests so you can have a tailor-made Hunza Valley autumn tour.

Our Hunza Valley autumn tour starts from Islamabad. Our representative will welcome you at Islamabad airport and transfer you to the group hotel for a rest. In the evening, we have a sightseeing plan to explore Islamabad in a short span, such as the Pakistan Monument Museum, Shakarparian National Park, and Lok Virsa Heritage, depending upon the time availability and weather conditions.

The following morning, we begin our Hunza autumn tour on the famous Karakoram Highway via Taxila towards the Hunza Valley. En route, visit the Taxila Museum and have short tea breaks before arriving in Chillas. Visit the rock carving inscriptions at Shaital and ancient rock graffiti at Chilas. Chilas offers a breathtaking panorama of the joint point of the World’s three mountain ranges, including the Himalayas, Hindukush, and Karakoram. Chilas is the gateway to the 9th highest peak, Nanga Parbat, and we will stop next at the conflux of the Indus River and Gilgit.

We will have a short Gilgit city tour, including the local Gilgit bazaar, suspension bridges, and Karga Buddha. These places represent the historical outlooks of Gilgit city. We drive to Karimabad to experience the ethnic culture of Hunza Valley communities in Autumn. On the way, we will have some photography stops at the Silk Route, the collision points of River erosion, and the Indian Plates. Rakaposhi’s viewpoint is also included in this list.

From Karimabad, we will visit the Altit and Baltit forts. We make our way toward Eagle Nest, which offers magnificent sunset views of the Autumn season that appeal to the eyes. We will hike to the top of Eagle Nest. In the night, after dinner, we will have a walk to the local Karimabad bazaar. Enjoy local food stalls, historic jewellery shops, and warm woollen shawls, and participate and dance to the Hunza music and the tunes of Hunza drums. These activities make your stay at Karimabad memorable and glorious for a lifetime.

The next day, we drive to Duikar to capture the sunset sceneries of Autumn in Hunza Valley for Instagram and portfolios. Passu Cones will also be one of our stops on the way. We will experience the stunning beauty of the blunt giant cones. Today we will have a full-day excursion to Khunjerab Pass, and the silk route will allow us to see mountain sheep (Ibex). We will spend half an hour on the top and return to the Sost, where we will walk to the bazaar and the village to catch a glimpse of the hills and slopes, which are covered with leaves and snow and makes the Hunza region a perfect picturesque in the Autumn season.

After breakfast, continue our Hunza autumn tour towards Gilgit. Experience the Pass cathedrals and Batura Glacier and walk on the enthralling Hussaini Suspension Bridge. Travel towards one of our major entrancing sightseeings, Attabad Lake. Take a 30-minute boat ride around the lake to make our Hunza Valley Autumn tour unforgettable. Continue the 3-hour drive back to Gilgit and end our Hunza Valley Autumn tour by passing through Naran and reaching Islamabad. Nights stay in Islamabad and next day travel to Islamabad airport for your flight back home. End of the tour, you will leave Pakistan with lifelong memories created by the “Hunza Valley Autumn Tour”.

HEALTH & VACCINATION

You should contact your doctor or travel clinic to check whether you specifically require any vaccinations or other preventive measures. You should be up to date with routine courses and boosters as recommended in the UK e.g. diphtheria-tetanus-polio and measles-mumps-rubella), along with hepatitis A and typhoid. Malarial prophylaxis is discretionary for this trip. Malaria exists in the area around Islamabad. However, incidences of urban transmission of malaria are extremely low. On holidays to more remote areas, you should also have a dentist check-up. A good online resource is Travel Health Pro. Dengue fever is a known risk in places visited. It is a tropical viral disease spread by daytime-biting mosquitoes. There is currently no vaccine or prophylaxis available and therefore the best form of prevention is to avoid being bitten. We recommend you take precautions to avoid mosquito bites

We highly recommend that you have adequate travel insurance for your trip with Trango Adventure Pakistan.
